In an effort to address how people could get hit when hidden behind corners, Blizzard has massively nerfed the projectile hitbox size. The biggest change this patch wasn’t even mentioned in the patch notes.
The projectile hitbox size has been greatly reduced and as a result projectiles and hitscans now have the same size hitbox. Hitscans are any bullet that does not have travel time where as projectiles are physical objects within the game that take time to travel.
We all got a bit salty when a Hanzo magically shot us behind a corner but now an already low tier hero is going to be even weaker. By nerfing projectile hitboxes this is an indirect buff to all hitscan heroes. We will have to wait and see if these changes make it to live.
